Essner “Young Lawyer of the Year” for his work with those impacted by domestic violence. He is also a Board Member of Strive For Life which has a mission "to raise funds and awareness of heart conditions in youth and to provide financial assistance to families in need."

While at the University of Illinois, Mr. Lyle received the highest academic achievement bestowed upon graduates – the Bronze Tablet. Mr. Lyle is also a graduate of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy’s National Trial Program.
